WHAT IS THERAPY?

Therapy involves exploring your present situation and what factors have led you to this point in your life. It helps you establish (or re-establish) positivity and encourages you to work pro-actively towards a more empowered present and future.

This could be about achieving various life goals, relating differently to yourself and/or others, or simply helping you to gain a greater understanding of your thoughts, behaviors and feelings to promote and maintain psychological fitness.

Therapy requires you to willingly engage in the process and take responsibility for your own behavior and your inevitable development. Emotional honesty can sometimes be quite uncomfortable, but we provide a therapeutic space that is entirely non-judgmental, enabling you to explore the things you have made the choice to address.

THE DETAIL

Therapy takes you on a journey towards self-awareness and positive acceptance. This journey varies in length and therapy can provide short term support for something specific, as well as support for those who need to explore and understand longer term struggles and difficulties. To cater for the time pressures faced by individuals wanting to move forward with treatment, Mindflex can provide face-to-face or Skype sessions for teenagers and adults. Evidence suggests that Skype is just as effective as face-to-face therapy and can be more convenient and flexible for the individual, which is why we offer this as an option for our clients. Please note that; • if after the initial assessment you decide that you want to continue working together, it is recommended that you commit to 6 sessions and then review • each session lasts 50 minutes
